Nova Scotia is considered one of four Atlantic maritime provinces (which are in Eastern Canada). The region boasts a lower cost of living. Halifax is the largest city in all of Atlantic Canada. Major industries include agriculture, fishing and natural gas extraction. The province enjoys warm summers and mild winters due to Gulf Stream moderation. There have been issues with retention of immigrants but this is improving lately. About 7,000 immigrate annually.
There are 3 streams aligned with the federal Express Entry program.
Express Entry is eligible for those with at least one year of full-time paid work experience in the last three years.
For those meeting experience requirements for the federal Express Entry program (Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class)

For those with a job offer
For nurse aides, orderlies, patient services associates, food and beverage servers, food counter attendants, kitchen helpers, light duty cleaners, transport truck drivers, heavy equipment operators (except crane) and construction helpers and labourers
For nurse aides, orderlies and early childhood educators and assistants who studied in the province.

You should intend to live in Nova Scotia at the time you apply. Nevertheless, the Canadian Constitution guarantees freedom of mobility and so if you change your mind after becoming a Permanent Resident, you may move to another area of Canada.
You must first complete an application and receive a nomination. Then you must apply for the federal stage which involves assessment for medical, criminal and security issues.
In our experience, the Atlantic Immigration Program is faster.
