Prince Edward Island (PEI) is considered one of four Atlantic maritime provinces (which are in Eastern Canada). The region boasts a lower cost of living. It is the smallest but most densely populated province. The climate is moderate given the warm waters form the Gulf of St. Lawrence. PEI is known for its beautiful sandy beaches and dunes and its economy is centered around tourism, agriculture and fishing. Immigration is growing more rapidly than in any other part of Canada but only about 2,000 immigrate annually.
Aligned with the federal Express Entry Program
For those currently working in PEI or holding a job offer from an employer in PEI
For those who wish to invest in a business in PEI
You should intend to live in PEI at the time you apply. Nevertheless, the Canadian Constitution guarantees freedom of mobility and so if you change your mind after becoming a Permanent Resident, you may move to another area of Canada.
You must first complete an application and receive a nomination. Then you must apply for the federal stage which involves assessment for medical, criminal and security issues.
In our experience, the Atlantic Immigration Program is faster.
