Simply put, the Immigration Department is going online – and so are we. Having had two national leadership positions within the Canadian immigration bar, Immigration Lawyer Ravi Jain is well aware of the direction Canadian immigration law is heading. Most applications are processed online now and the remaining ones will move online soon.
We connect with our clients via Microsoft Teams, Zoom and phone. We have invested heavily in technology and security and exchange files through a secure cloud-based service. You may book and then have a consultation without needing to travel or pay for parking and we can assist you and communicate with you at your convenience online. Of course, in-person appointments are also possible where required.
While a traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ law firm has some benefits in terms of onboarding new, inexperienced employees, at Jain Immigration Law, we hire only very experienced lawyers and case analysts with a proven history of working well remotely and in the office as the need arises.
Mr. Jain was keen to implement a low client-to-staff ratio for optimal client satisfaction. Client communication is extremely important to the Firm and we endeavour to provide near instant responses to emails and phone calls unless there are urgent deadlines.
Many traditional firms will increase fees annually to keep up with inflation and overhead costs. Another reason for opening the Firm is to provide excellent service while also holding the line on fee increases. This is possible given reduced overhead costs as mostly remote work has allowed us to forgo a traditional office lease with associated insurance costs and support staff costs. An automated consultation booking process also saves costs.
The Firm’s lawyers and case analysts are happier and save the time and costs associated with commuting and are able to work in quiet environments at home, free of the distractions from an open-office layout. Also, in the case of another pandemic or variant of concern, the Firm requires no time to adapt. The bottom line? Our clients receive service from a top-rated lawyer overseeing all files – without facing regular steep pricing increases for renewals or future work such as citizenship applications or appeals.
